I first saw these boots during a shopping trip in Amsterdam a few months ago, and even though due to time constraints I wasn't able to purchase any right there and then, it was pretty much love at first sight. Gradually it seems more people are cottoning onto the sheer genius of these boots, and the fact that they are the perfect addition to any wardrobe, spring, summer, autumn or winter. Now my only dilemma is to choose which pair is my favourite...

exotic luxury

I'm a big fan of summer, and it is without doubt my favourite season, also style and fashion wise. Summer screams time for colour after a drab winter of greys and winter, and allows you the freedom to experiment with different shapes, colours, and styles.  I'm also a fan of most beach editorials, and this shoot with Sara von Schrenk by Markuz Ziegler for Elle Mexico's July issue does not disappoint. One of the things that sets this shoot apart from all the other beach editorials is the hint of exotic luxury bought about by special attention to detail, and the fact that every shot is bathed in rich, deep colour. Stunning.

This week rumours have started going round about a potential Topshopbeing launched in Amsterdam on 10th june. This of course has generated huge excitement amongst the Topshop lovers here in Holland, yet unfortunately their ultimate dreams may not be coming true. The poster that was released (above) that was the source of all the rumours was slightly misleading, as it is in fact not a poster detailing a launch of Topshop but it publicises the launch of a Topshop line in the chain SPRMRKT, an already existing store chain in Amsterdam. A little Topshop is definitely better than no Topshop, but I'm still hoping for the day Topshop Amsterdam properly arrives!

 Charlotte Cordes stars in this shoot for Vogue Hellas by Kory Briands, wearing romantic creations  by various designers including Valentino, Chanel, Emilio Pucci. The elegant garden setting, along with the romantic designs and exquisite jewellery give the shoot a romantic, fairytale, dream like feeling ,a perfect taster of those long summer nights that are yet to come!

YSL spring/summer 2011

Yves Saint Laurent's spring 2011 collection is the star feature in this film starring Arizona Muse, directed by Stefano Pilati in collaboration with Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Set in the 1930s Villa Bled Roknine in Marrakech’s Palmeraie, the film is a stunning and mesmerizing creative representation of the spring/summer collection.

Karlie Kloss models the latest spring collections in this editorial for AnOther shot by Walter Pfeiffer, featuring work of Missoni, Prada, Hermes and more. The shoot is drenched in vibrant colour, and with varying backgrounds and backdrops each shot has a completely different story to tell. It's nice to see Kloss do something a little different!
